We are taking DIY bucket orders for weddings and events beginning April 5 through October 17, 2026.

For those wanting to design and be creative, or for the budget-conscious couple, buckets of blooms freshly harvested from our Charlottesville flower farm are just perfect. Reserve the quantity you need and we’ll freshly pick your blooms for pick-up 1-2 days prior to your event.

Each 2 gallon bucket contains between 75-85 stems of flowers and foliage and your options are:

Spring Bulb Bucket $179: Available late March-May. Our bulb flowers are our most expensive blooms to grow and the only flowers blooming in early spring late March through mid May. If you are reserving a bucket during April or May, this is the option for you! Your bucket will include a mix of spring foliage and spring flowering bulbs (tulips and/or ranunculus depending on what is in bloom)

Mixed Seasonal Colors $119: Farmer’s Choice colors of foliage, filler, and focal flowers. These buckets are available late May through October.

Bright and Cheery or Soft Pastels $149: Your choice of a color family and available late May through October.

Fall Dahlia Bucket: $199: Available August-October…75-85 stems of just dahlias!

What can I create with 1 bucket?

Design work is subjective. However, 1 bucket will make approx. 4-6 mason jar style arrangements OR up to 3 bridesmaid bouquets. The number of buckets you need will depend on the size and complexity of your design. We recommend enlisting the help of at least 3 people for a few days leading up to and the day of your event.

FOR REFERENCE:

We harvest the freshest blooms available in the field a day or two before your pickup, therefore we are unable to accommodate specific color requests. However, for an additional fee, you may ask for “warm tones”, “bright colors”, “pastels”, and we will do our best to match your preferences.

While blooms can last up to a week if properly cared for, we recommend picking up your buckets no more than 2 days before your event and ideally the day before the event.

Buckets are only available from mid-April through the second week of October. The exact date varies each year.

Design work is very subjective. Due to the quantities of emails we receive daily in regards to weddings, we are unable to offer design advice. However, if you would like to discuss anything more specific as far as the quantities of blooms and how many buckets you may need to suit your wedding and event needs you may book a consultation. For design advice, we recommend the following book, “A Year in Flowers” by Erin Benzakein.

There is a $7 per bucket deposit (for the bucket itself) and it’s fully refundable upon return of clean buckets.

Delivery is not included for DIY buckets.

The more flexible you are the more enjoyable the experience of fresh, farm flowers will be.

Orders placed for unavailable dates will be canceled & refunded.
